RRC WR Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 64 Posts

Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway (RRC/WR) has invited online applications from eligible Indian sportspersons for recruitment against the Sports Quota for the year 2026-27. A total of 64 vacancies are available across Level 5/4, Level 3/2 and Level 1 posts.

Age Limit
The prescribed age limit for these posts is as follows:
Minimum Age: 18 | Maximum Age: 25
Eligibility
Candidates must be eligible Indian sportspersons and must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification as well as the recognised sports achievement norms specified in the official notification.
- Level 5/4: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or equivalent, along with the prescribed sports qualification/achievement.
- Level 3/2: 12th (+2) or equivalent, or Matriculation with ITI/Act Apprenticeship as prescribed, along with the prescribed sports qualification/achievement.
- Level 1: 10th Pass, or ITI, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC), along with the prescribed sports qualification/achievement.
- Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01 January 2027. Candidates should check the official notification for the prescribed birth-date conditions and other eligibility requirements.
- Sports Qualification: Candidates must possess the recognised sports achievements specified for the relevant discipline/event in the official notification. The prescribed achievement period is from 01 April 2024 up to the date of notification.
There is no reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen under this Open Advertisement Sports Quota recruitment. Candidates should read the official notification carefully for discipline-wise sports norms and eligibility conditions.
Selection Process
The selection process is based on the prescribed Sports Trial and merit assessment. Candidates are assessed on recognised sports achievement, game skill/physical fitness and coach’s observation during the trial, along with educational qualification as prescribed.
The assessment carries a total of 100 marks: 50 marks for recognised sports achievements, 40 marks for game skill, physical fitness and coach’s observation during trials, and 10 marks for educational qualification. Candidates must satisfy the minimum qualifying standard applicable to their pay level.
Only candidates found fit in the Sports Trial are considered for further assessment and preparation of the merit list.
